The best of both worlds since 1997

We are completing our 5th year at River’s Edge and love it as much as we did when we started. We believe in the educational partnership it allows us to combine with our desire to teach at home. Equal to that, we cherish the spiritual partnership and the fact that it is a great fit for our family lifestyle. We couldn’t say more about the personalities and educational experience our children have gotten from their amazing teachers there as well. I have often told people that there are few things in our life that we have as much peace about then where our children go to school. What a blessing the Lord has given us in this community of educational believers.

I wanted to be involved in my children’s education. I also wanted them to experience the social setting of a classroom. At RECA we get the best of both worlds. I know that my children are being taught and guided by Christian principles and this is so very important to me. I love the intimate setting with the low numbers in the classroom that allows the teacher to spend one-on-one time with my children. RECA is like family to us. I can’t imagine my kids being anywhere else!

We originally chose River’s Edge because I wanted to have my oldest son home as much as possible but I had never taught a child to read. Some of the things I love about RECA is that we get to pick and teach our own Bible curriculum, but for other subjects all the lesson planning and scheduling is done for us. My boys love going to school and seeing their friends, but they also love having “P.E.” twice a week with their other sibling at home! We couldn’t ask for a better blend of homeschooling and traditional school.
