Our upper academy consists of 9th-12th grade students who meet on campus for classroom instruction on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. High School student schedules may vary, but first period begins at 8:30 and sixth period ends at 3:20, with a thirty minute lunch break in the middle of the day. Weekly assignments, provided by our teachers, are completed at home on Tuesdays and Fridays by the student. In high school, the role of the parent transitions from the teaching parent to more of a support role.

Our Upper Academy is a member of University Model Schools International (UMSI) and is dually accredited through both Christian Schools International (CSI) and Cognia.
Additionally, River’s Edge is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), is approved as a Home School Satellite Program, and is recognized by the State of Tennessee as an approved non-public school (Category IV-Church – Related School).
