Scott Gilbert has been teaching English and Writing for over 20 years on middle school, high school, and college levels. He graduated from Carson-Newman with a BA in Psychology and a Concentration in Creative Writing. From there Mr. Gilbert went on to Winthrop University where he finished up his MA in English and met his wife. In his six years teaching at Winthrop, he took on the position of Assistant Writing Center Director, presenting at several professional conferences. After moving to Georgia, Mr. Gilbert rebuilt the English Department at Landmark Christian School where he was Department Head. After his second child came along, his hometown of Knoxville brought him back to be closer to family. SMr. Gilbert has been teaching the Dual Enrollment Composition course at RECA since 2016.
