Melissa McLochlin is our 6th & 8th-grade history teacher. She earned a Master of Arts degree in Teaching in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Columbia International University and holds ACSI certification in all grade levels 1-12 with an endorsement in Bible and ESL. She also holds a minor in Middle Eastern Studies and has teaching in a variety of educational settings, including both public and private Christian schools. She is very excited to join the RECA staff and partner with parents to help students reach their full potential. Melissa grew up in Baltimore, MD and attended college in South Carolina where she met her husband Charlie. Charlie teaches high school Bible at Berean Christian School. Charlie and Melissa have lived in Knoxville for two years and love it! In Melissa’s free time she enjoys outdoor activities, playing with her two dogs and watching movies.
