Alison Stooksbury is excited to be teaching 5th Grade at the North Campus for RECA. She graduated from the University of Tennessee with her Bachelor’s in Science in Psychology with a minor in Elementary Education. She also went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Elementary Education and now holds a Professional Teaching License. She has had a variety of teaching experiences teaching in local public schools, private Christian school, and also in a homeschool co-op program. The grades in which she has taught include 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 6th, 7th, and 8th. She is also involved with the women’s ministry at her church, Beaver Dam Baptist Church, and she loves hosting Bible studies and small groups at their home throughout the year. She has been married to her husband, Brandon, for over 8 years, and together they have two fun children, Alethia and Silas. She is very excited to come alongside parents and students as they journey through the school year together. Using a Biblical worldview to shape and mold students daily is her ultimate goal as an educator. She truly delights to invest in students’ lasting knowledge of Scripture and life-giving faith. Her favorite passage in God’s Word is Psalm 84:11, which says, “For the Lord God is a sun and shield; He bestows favor and honor. No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly.”
